Case Studies

The following four case studies give some examples of the type of projects that Mike has been involved in. 

Case Study One - "Carnival 365"

“Carnival 365” was an annual one day community festival run buy the CARE Partnership in Greenwich.  Re:creation sound was the primary contractor and responsible for provide a facility that the various contributors to the CARE Partnership could use to promote community, sports and race equality in the area. As Part of the Project team Mike was responsible for Facilities Management this included the following aspects:

• Provision of site and venue plans and design prior to the event and agreement with the client and licensing Authority.
• Provision & Equipping of two outdoor music stages.
• Design and implementation of an outdoor sports arena
• Design and specifying for various exhibitions marquees
• Design and equipping a performance café area
• Providing Sound & Lighting for an indoor music stage
• Site Wide Power Design & Planning
• On Site Management of the installation, operation and removal of the above facilities.

Other areas that were also within Re:creation sound’s remit included:

• Provision of Stewarding & security
• Provision of First Aid cover.
• Provision of Waste collection & removal.
• Provision of All Sound and Lighting Systems
• Provision of Power distribution
• Provision of on site communications
• On Site Health & Safety Management.
• Preparing an event safety plan for submission to The licensing authority.
